Intellectual Property Patent Committee

The Office for Research & Economic Development has appointed an Intellectual Property Patent Committee (IPPC) composed of members representative of the entire University to review, analyze, and generally advise ORED on patent applications and commercializing UA Intellectual Property. The IPPC members were nominated by the Associate Deans for Research, college/school Deans, and the Faculty Senate.

The selection process was based on criteria that reflected their experience, technical and scientific expertise, knowledge of the technology transfer process, and the patentability of innovations in their field or discipline. The IPPC members serve a three (3) year term that may be renewed.
