Five faculty and staff members from across The University of Alabama have been selected for the inaugural cohort of Office for Research & Economic Development Senior Fellows.
The program recognizes leaders in emerging fields of research at UA, with the goal of coalescing multidisciplinary teams around a common theme of research and economic development. The teams will collaborate to achieve tangible results, secure external funding, and elevate the University’s research profile.
Additionally, fellows will offer feedback on ORED’s overall operational efficiency, helping ORED leaders to improve the office’s services for the UA research and economic development community.
“It is highly exciting to have this inaugural class of ORED Senior Fellows, as these folks are leaders in their respective fields and bring a strong passion and clear vision for raising the research profile of the institution to an even greater level,” said Dr. Bryan Boudouris, vice president for research and economic development. “Their expertise and guidance will be invaluable as the Office for Research and Economic Development grows new initiatives in a collaborative, sustainable manner.”
