Office for Undergraduate Research

OUR Conference Presentation Travel Award Policy & Application

The Office for Undergraduate Research at The University of Alabama awards supplemental travel funds to undergraduate students to present at a professional society meeting, or at a regional, national, or international conference.

Students should work with their faculty research mentor to determine eligibility for available funds within their academic department or college prior to applying for funds through The Office for Undergraduate Research.

Travel awards generally range in amount ($50-$500) and will be awarded following the evaluation of the student’s application. The evaluation process may be lengthy.  Therefore, we encourage students to apply as early as possible.

Travel awards will be dispersed through student account services and will follow the policy outlined in the following the Payments to Students Policy for The University of Alabama.
