Office for Research Systems & Reporting

The Research Systems & Reporting team provides central governance of The University of Alabama’s electronic research administration and compliance systems. The office supports the integrity, accessibility, and strategic use of research data across the sponsored project lifecycle.

RSR partners with campus stakeholders to ensure systems are aligned, integrated, and responsive to evolving institutional needs, enabling accurate reporting, efficient administration, and informed decision-making.

  • Governance and administration of electronic research administration (eRA) systems
  • Data integrity, reporting, and analytics for sponsored research activities
  • System integration across proposal, compliance, and financial platforms
  • User access, role management, and training support
  • Strategic planning and implementation of new research systems and enhancements

As part of a broader institutional transformation, RSR is actively supporting the university’s transition to modern enterprise platforms, including the implementation of CORE and Workday. These efforts are aligned with the University’s multiyear Capstone Convergence initiative to modernize enterprise systems and processes.
