TIG Consulting

TIG will provide tactical and strategic consulting for proposal development. This includes

Project Conceptualization and Positioning

TIG will work with Principal Investigators (PIs) to develop concepts for projects and identify strategies for positioning proposals within agencies. This includes discussing guidelines/program solicitation with prospective proposers, establishing timelines and proposal preparation plans, analyzing guidelines and providing a checklist of required solicitation elements.

Pre-submission Proposal Review and Assessment

TIG will provide internal reviews of proposals. These are non-technical reviews focused on idea presentation and development; proposal structure, integration, and clarity; ‘one-voice’; and responsiveness to guidelines. This work includes reviewing graphics and figures as well as ensuring attention to overall grantsmanship. Other tasks include iterative “flags” and content assessment; critical Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) examination and assessment of each proposal section; high-level recommendations and action items to improve competitiveness; and detailed tracked feedback and comments.

In the case of larger more complex projects or at the client’s discretion, TIG will provide color coded reviews.

TIG will assist faculty in responding to internal and external feedback, and provide direct technical assistance withEditing, proofing, graphics, and formatting.

Compliance Tracking

TIG will conduct cross check between the Request for Proposals (RFP) and proposal for full alignment with solicitation requirements.

Post Factum Review, Analysis, and Resubmission

TIG will work with PIs of declined proposals to analyze reviews, and provide strategies for possible resubmission.
