T. Robin Bartlett

Dr. Robin Bartlett is a professor at the Capstone College of Nursing at The University of Alabama, joining in 2019. She holds a PhD in nursing from UNC Chapel Hill (2003), MSN in Nursing Administration (1987), and BSN (1978) from UNC Greensboro. With prior experience in psychiatric/mental health inpatient and community settings, her research focuses on preventing risk behaviors among underserved youth, emphasizing rural health, intervention studies for adolescent girls, nursing education, parenting, interdisciplinary methods, and community-based participatory research. She collaborates on an NIH/NIGMS-funded HSTA-AL program to boost rural students’ entry into nursing/biomedical fields and led the Alabama Commission on Higher Education-funded Bridges program for rural BSN aspirants. She teaches MSN/DNP/PhD courses and mentors dissertations. Honors include Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (2023) and UNC Greensboro Distinguished Alumni Award (2024).
