The Transportation Policy Research Center plays a central role in the Alabama Transportation Institute, helping to communicate and interpret research findings to the general public and policy-makers.
An important first task for the TPRC and ATI has been the production of the Alabama 2040 Report, an independent, authoritative assessment of transportation infrastructure and mobility needs through 2040. The report, which draws upon the combined expertise of the ATI, also addresses investment needs, possible sources, and potential returns from a set of alternative investment scenarios. It will serve as the foundation of additional research and implementation studies.
